This is an ACTIVE SESSION--Students need 60+ minutes of activity a day to keep healthy bodies. That physical activity also helps build their brains and prepares them for learning! Routine Brain Boosts, active indoor recess, and classroom-based physical activity can improve every student’s learning experience. OPEN’s Active Classroom resources will keep students moving and help teachers stay stress free. Teachers participating in this session will learn about the importance of activity to learning and how to implement Active Classroom activities into the school day to reap the benefits! Resources include an academic language component and social/emotional learning connections. This workshop is designed for the elementary classroom or physical education teacher.
